CMS offers more info on tamper-proof pads

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services answers questions about its new Medicaid tamper-resistant prescription pad rule

In response to a flood of questions related to the new guidelines on using tamper-resistant prescription pads for Medicaid, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has posted answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ) on its Web site. The rule is set to take effect Oct. 1. In late August, CMS CMS FAQ page provides information about retroactive eligibility, emergency fills, and drug orders.
