Antihistamine's new label covers both indoor and outdoor allergies
In a new labeling change, Schering-Plough's Claritin can now treat both indoor and outdoor allergies

Schering-Plough reported that FDA has approved a labeling change for its over-the-counter Claritin (loratadine). The new label now states that the non-drowsy OTC drug relieves allergy symptoms caused by both indoor (or perennial) and outdoor (or seasonal) allergies. Indoor allergens include mold, dust mites, and pet dander, while outdoor allergens cover grass and pollen.
