Walgreens opens flagship store in Empire State building

Patrons of the Empire State building will now be able to stop in a new flagship Walgreens store that opened March 23.

Patrons of the Empire State building will now be able to stop in a new flagship Walgreens store that opened March 23. In addition to a pharmacy, the store has expanded offers such as a café, frozen yogurt, fresh food and drinks, and an extensive beauty department with grooming services.

The pharmacy will focus on patient-pharmacist interaction, and it has private consultation rooms, immunizations and health tests.

“We are extremely pleased to provide another revolutionary store that demonstrates how Walgreens is transforming daily living, pharmacy and healthcare experiences nationwide,” said Mark Wagner, Walgreens president of operations and community management. “Walgreens innovative products and services support our commitment to help our customers get, stay and live well.”

The store will be open 24 hours every day, but the pharmacy has restricted hours of 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
