Under new hepatitis B guide, more qualify for treatment
New guidelines for the management of chronic HBV infection were recently developed by a panel of U.S. hepatologists. This treatment algorithm reflects new developments in the understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of currently approved drug therapies. The guidelines were published in the February 2004 issue of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
