Register Today: September 2026 Total Pharmacy Solutions Summit

This fall’s event will focus on the expanding role of pharmacists in providing patient care with clinical value, prevention, and more.

The Total Pharmacy® Solutions Summit will close out the summer with its fall 2026 event, hosted virtually on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET. Built around the theme “Patient First: Delivering Value with Clinical & Preventive Services,” the summit will bring together pharmacy leaders and industry partners to examine how community pharmacies can expand clinical and preventive offerings while strengthening long-term sustainability.

“Pharmacists should attend because health care is changing quickly,” CPESN told Drug Topics® prior to the event. “This summit will provide actionable strategies to expand patient care services, strengthen community partnerships, and create sustainable opportunities and improve patient outcomes, while supporting the future of community pharmacy.”

The event will open with a keynote from E.J. Stoepfel, RPh, MBA-HCA, payer-purchaser-partner engagement lead and compliance officer at CPESN USA, titled “Rural Health Transformation: Community Pharmacy as Essential Infrastructure.” The session positions rural community pharmacy as essential health care infrastructure, connecting services such as medication synchronization, adherence packaging, and transitions-of-care support to broader goals of access, workforce capacity, and care coordination.

Other Featured Sessions Include:

Dorrit Trate, MHA, MBA, senior vice president of pharma solutions at Outcomes, will lead “Advancing Patient Care Through Pharma-Sponsored Programs,” exploring how pharma-sponsored patient support helps pharmacies improve adherence, close gaps in care, and generate new revenue. “We’ll explore how pharmacies can transform a frustrating patient journey into a more seamless experience from prescription to fill and beyond,” Trate told us.

Rosalyn Otting, PharmD, BCGP, senior manager of clinical transformation – pharmacy at PQS by Innovaccer, will present “Patient First: How EQUIPP® Connects Pharmacies and Payers to Drive Better Health Outcomes.” She’ll explain how the EQUIPP platform links pharmacies to health-plan–sponsored, bonus-only incentive programs that reward adherence outreach and preventive care gap closures.

Jason Ausili, PharmD, MSLS, director of clinical business development at AlignRx, will represent American Associated Pharmacies with “Hybrid Payment Models: Unlocking Sustainable Revenue for Pharmacist-Led Clinical Services.” Using cardiovascular and diabetes care as examples, Ausili will show how combining fee-for-service billing with value-based arrangements can create scalable revenue streams for pharmacist-led care.

Rounding out the general sessions, Nancy Lyons, BSPharm, CDCES, vice president and chief pharmacy officer for Health Mart at McKesson, will present “Patient First, Powered by AI and Technology: Building Capacity for Patient Care,” sharing real-world examples of pharmacies using AI and workflow innovation to create more time for patient care.

“Events like this one give pharmacy professionals an opportunity to step back from their daily operations, learn from peers, and explore practical strategies for enhancing patient care,” Lyons said.

Continuing Education Sessions

Attendees can also earn CE credit through 2 sessions focused on stimulant stewardship and combatting misinformation.

Mary Accomando, PharmD, BCPP, clinical pharmacist specialist in pediatric psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance, will host “Stimulant Stewardship: A Pharmacist’s Guide to ADHD Prescribing During Drug Shortages,” covering strategies for navigating stimulant shortages and shifting regulatory requirements.

Megan N. Freeland, PharmD, owner and principal health literacy strategist at StockRose Creative, will close out CE programming with “Outsmart the Algorithm: Combatting Misinformation at the Pharmacy Counter,” examining how social media shapes patient perceptions of medications.

With a full slate of general and CE sessions centered on patient-first care, this summit is positioned to give attendees practical, sustainable strategies for expanding clinical and preventive services heading into the fall months of 2026.

“Independent pharmacists are being asked to do more than ever before while navigating staffing, reimbursement, and patient engagement challenges,” concluded Trate. “The Total Pharmacy Solutions Summit brings together practical, actionable strategies that pharmacies can implement right away to enhance patient care, expand clinical services, and strengthen their business.”
