The Guild for Professional Pharmacists, based in Woodland Hills, Calif., averted a strike by its members after negotiating a tentative agreement with Kaiser Permanente. Howard Hertz, VP of the guild, told Drug Topics, “It’s a good contract,” and he recommends ratification by guild members. “This has helped Kaiser take a strong step toward becoming an employer of choice in the area,” he said, adding that details of the negotiations will be posted on the guild’s Web site at http://www.gfpp.org/.
