New products turn up the heat at ASHP show

The exhibit floor at the ASHP summer meeting in Orlando was sizzling with the latest wares on display for hospital pharmacy in categories ranging from automation solutions to dispensing equipment, computer hardware and software, drug administration devices, packaging equipment, and pharmacy management services.

Baxa also launched its STAR (Skills Training, Academics, and Resources) Center at the show. This is a facility designed for cleanroom and pharmacy practice demonstration and is located at the company's headquarters south of Denver. The center was built to provide professional education on pharmacy practice, cleanroom principles, and compliance to regulatory requirements, according to the company. The first class in the STAR Center, Compliance Tools and Aseptic Certification for USP 797, will take place in September.
