Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is perceived to be a condition that only affects adults. This is not true, however. It also affects infants, children, and teens. To raise awareness of this issue, the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) has, through its Children?s Digestive Health and Nutrition Foundation (CDHNF), launched an educational campaign targeting healthcare professionals and parents, in addition to providing information for children and teens.
