The National Community Pharmacist Association (NCPA) Foundation announced a number of activities held during the NCPA's 114th Annual Convention and Trade Exposition in mid-October.

On Oct. 14 and 15, there will be a silent auction of art, pharmacy, and sports memorabilia and travel packages in the Exhibit Hall. The proceeds will support scholarships to pharmacy students, research and programs for independent community pharmacy, community-based health care awareness programs, and disaster relief aid to community pharmacy owners, according to a press statement.

During the convention, community pharmacists can register to participate in the National Community Pharmacy Bone Marrow Drive, which is Nov. 5-10.

During the convention's annual awards and scholarships presentations, a new award, the NARD Ownership Award, will be presented for the first time.

On Oct. 16, there will be a breakfast with entertainment by Mark Riley, Larry Wamble, and Tim Benton.
