APhA, NACDS, and NCPA have announced a new plan for greater strategic cooperation on pharmacy issues. According to a joint statement, the project hopes to develop new approaches to pharmacy issues. "As our healthcare system continues to modernize, pharmacists will need to stay ahead of the curve in order to continue providing critical medication therapy management services to their patients," said John A. Gans, Pharm.D., APhA executive VP and CEO. "The efforts of Project Destiny will no doubt help the pharmacy profession accomplish this."
