More R.Ph.s earning credentials in diabetes disease management
Pharmacists have sought ways to show payers that they are "more than pill counters" and to have a way to obtain credentials-and reimbursement-for the cognitive services they so often informally provide to patients. Now several states have developed a training and examination program that qualifies them as Certified Disease Managers (CDMs) in diabetes and other areas.
