Medicare asks for medication therapy management help
Washington needs pharmacy advice. The Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 requires Medicare to introduce medication therapy management (MTM) programs (MTMPs) under the Part D outpatient drug benefit in 2006. But the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services doesn't know what MTM is or how to do it. Pharmacy associations are pushing members to tell the agency just how pharmacists can help manage medication therapy.
