Medi-Promotions to launch Medi-Scripts Plus prescription pad

Medi-Promotions Inc., Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., the originator of Medi-Scripts prescription pads, is expanding its Medi-Scripts prescription pad model with the launch of Medi-Scripts PLUS. The pads will initially include patient offers from pharmaceutical manufacturers. Medi-Promotions is a provider of marketing solutions that help influence physician prescribing habits at the point of prescription. Medi-Scripts and Medi-Scripts PLUS empower pharmaceutical brand managers to deliver product messages to physicians. Richard Zwickel, VP of Medi-Scripts PLUS division said, "We're trying to be innovators as the pharmaceutical industry embraces a number of forms of alternative sampling. On the back of the [prescription] pads there will be opportunities to initiate therapy, as well as deliver targeted patient education along with the prescription via store value cards, vouchers, coupons, and rebates to leverage the pharmaceutical manufacturers' marketing mix." Zwickel said he is working with 38 of the top 50 pharmaceutical manufacturers.
