Latebreakers: Nonprofit focuses on helping pharmacies

Pharmacy consultant SHB Consulting Services hashelped create a nonprofit organization aimed at helpingstruggling pharmacies survive. Keep Your PharmacyOpen specializes in helping turn around troubled independentpharmacies.

The new nonprofit will be led byMichael Busch, SHB’s president and the founder of MedicineShoppe International, and Suzanne Gude, who willbe the nonprofit’s president. Keep Your Pharmacy Openwill operate a message board as a community resourceand will help pharmacies manage creditor issues and taxproblems and improve overall business performance.Membership in the group is open to pharmacy owners,pharmacists, technicians, and pharmacy students.
