Inhaled ciclesonide given nod by FDA

Alvesco approved for asthma

Prodrug ciclesonide, activated by intracellular esterases following oral inhalation, has been approved by the FDA as an inhalation aerosol for use as a prophylactic therapy in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older with asthma. The drug is called a new generation of corticosteroid by manufacturer
