Howard University and CVS upgrade pharmacy laboratory

CVS/Pharmacy donates $300,000 to project.

With a $300,000 donation from CVS/Pharmacy, Howard University recently completed its upgraded pharmacy practice laboratory, where students practice dispensing medication, counseling patients, and using the state-of-the-art technology found in many pharmacies.

"CVS/Pharmacy is committed to building an outstanding workforce through win-win partnerships such as with Howard University, and through the hiring, training, development, and retention of quality colleagues," Gordon Howard, area VP-Washington, D.C., market, said.

Howard University is a historically black institution that produces more black doctoral students than any other school in the world.
