In February 2003, the HCV-HIV International Panel reached a final consensus on the care of HCV-HIV co-infected persons following a series of meetings. The Panel, a group of nine experts in the fields of HIV and viral hepatitis, published their report in the January 2, 2004, issue of the journal AIDS.
