Genzyme picks Diplomat for its Renagel program
Medicare Part D patients who cannot afford to pay for Renagel can apply for assistance through a Genzyme program administered by Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy

Genzyme Corp. has selected Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, Flint, Mich., to administer its 2008 Renagel Medicare Part D Assistance Program. Under the program, Medicare beneficiaries who cannot afford their copayments or coinsurance payments for Renagel (sevelamer hydrochloride) can apply to get it free of charge via Diplomat. Renagel is a phosphorous binder indicated for the control of serum phosphorus in dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease. For more information, call (800) 847-0069.
