Experts issue updated blueprint for pediatric hypertension
The National High Blood Pressure Education Program (NHBPEP) Working Group recently released its fourth report on hypertension in children and adolescents. The Group last revised its guidelines on this topic in 1996. The report was presented at the American Society of Hypertension?s (ASH) Nineteenth Annual Scientific Meeting, which was held recently in New York City. It is scheduled for publication in the August issue of the journal Pediatrics.
