EG Labs, the maker of Viapro, 375mg capsules, has warned consumers not to buy the product because one lot was found to contain a potentially harmful, undeclared ingredient, thio-methisosildenafil. Thio-methisosildenafil, which is approved by the Food & Drug Administration to treat erectile dysfunction, may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Patients with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take products with nitrates.
