Until now, children's hospitals have not been included as covered entities eligible for 340B discounted drugs. But a notice from the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), published in the July 9 Federal Register, changes this by spelling out the conditions children's hospitals must meet in order to qualify. The notice also states that manufacturers are obliged to provide statutorily mandated discounts to children's hospitals. HRSA would like your comments by Sept. 7.
