CCRx honors five pharmacies

MemberHealth, sponsor of the Community Care Rx Medicare Part D prescription drug plan, has announced the winners of the CCRx Patient Care award for 2006. Grady Memorial Hospital Pharmacy in Atlanta; Columbus, Ga.-based Family Health Pharmacy; Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy of Somerset, Ky.; Fayette, Iowa-based Scott Health Mart Pharmacy; and Union Center Pharmacy of Seattle were recognized for their commitment and excellence. Pharmacies were judged based on the number of Medicare Part D patients seen, the effectiveness of promoting generic drugs, and the number of face-to-face medication therapy management sessions provided.
