Article

This year’s RBC is a return to in-person meeting and includes a robust program for independent pharmacists.

The Cardinal Health 2022 Retail Business Conference (RBC) is back in-person and ready to celebrate independent pharmacies and all they do for patient care and community wellness. Attendees will come together at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada, from July 13 to July 16, marking the 30th anniversary of Cardinal Health’s RBC event.

“We are excited to welcome our customers to Las Vegas as we celebrate 30 years of RBC,” said Chris Lanctot, senior vice president of retail independent sales at Cardinal Health. “We will showcase innovative solutions that can help independent pharmacists meet evolving consumer expectations and provide the level of care their patients have come to expect.”

“I’ve seen first-hand the tremendous impact independent pharmacists have in their communities,” Lanctot added. “At Cardinal Health, we are in pursuit of even better to help our customers grow their revenue and provide clinical services to meet the needs of their patients and communities.”

This year’s event features nearly 40 continuing education classes, presented in partnership with the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), a tradeshow floor with hundreds of vendors, and ample opportunities to network and gain insights from industry experts.

RBC will also showcase multiple solutions for independent pharmacies and pharmacists:

Cardinal Health™ NavixRx™ Compliance Packaging moves prescription fulfillment for compliance patients to a central fill model, where employed on-site pharmacists compliantly fill and package prescriptions, allowing the independent pharmacist more time with patients and more time to tackle other concerns.

The digital Cardinal Health™ Pharmacy Marketing Advantage platform equips pharmacies with the tools needed to reach patients through digital avenues such as the web, email, and social media – giving them a solution to process prescription refills and share content.

Cardinal Health™ Pharmacy Marketing Advantage Commerce gives independent pharmacies a digital platform to provide thousands of over-the-counter (OTC) items, expanding their consumer goods footprint through automatic processing and delivery through the pharmacy’s distribution center and next-day delivery.

Cardinal Health™ Pharmacy Marketing Advantage PLUS allows patients to easily order both their prescriptions and OTC products from the comfort of their own home using a smartphone, tablet or computer. It also allows pharmaciesto expand their online shopping capabilities by offering thousands of OTC products.

The Cardinal Health™ Point-of-Care Testing Program provides independent pharmacists with the tools and resources needed to provide rapid diagnostic testing as well as screenings that can make the pharmacy a wellness destination.

For those who want to continue the conversations taking place in the main stage presentations, the Cardinal Health™ Counter Talk™ Theater will present a slate of speakers focusing on the key topics that matter to pharmacists. Over 10 topics will be discussed over the three days, which includes a conversation about the federal and state legislative and regulatory issues that are impacting independent pharmacies, such as reimbursement, DIR fees, PBM reform, and pharmacist provider status. On Saturday, the Counter Talk™ Theater will conclude with an open forum on the challenges facing retail pharmacies and how pharmacists can help their teams manage burnout.

For attendees bringing their families, Camp Cardinal Health™ will offer age-appropriate activities including art and craft activities, parties, games, and off-site excursions in a safe and nurturing environment.

Attendees are encouraged to share their experiences at RBC 2022 using the #RBCVegas2022 hashtag.
