Bush proposes cost-saving changes to Medicare Part D

The Bush administration proposes increasing Medicare Part D premiums for wealthier beneficiaries and other cost-saving changes.

The Bush Administration has letter to Nancy Pelosi, (D, Calif.), Michael Leavitt, head of the Department of Health & Human Services, insisted that "the Medicare program is on an unsustainable path" and urged her to pass the legislation.
